As other reviewers had said… I purchased this for my iPhone 4… Installation wasn’t too bad… I liked the spray and squeegee system as it let you reposition it… somehow there are some brown spots IN the screen protector itself (dirt?) even though I followed all the directions (washing hands with soap and applying the solution to the finger tips). I realize they offer free replacements but I think I will have to chalk it up to an impulse buy and just throw it away. The screen is too tacky to comfortably slide a finger over. Also as another reviewer said, the edges of the screen protector are peeled up by a case and will not stick down. I would imagine at least half of all people with screen protectors would want to put a case on their phone too so the design itself is useless (if the screen protector was cut slightly shorter maybe it wouldn’t peel?) but for this much money it should be flawless! On the plus side the material is pretty much indestructible as described… but I will never buy one of their products again nor would I suggest a friend or enemy do so…

First let me start by saying that I have used Zagg invisishield on my previous iphone 3g and 3gs. Both were very superior to this crap they’re pushing out now. Seems everyone rushed to get the product out for the iphone 4 release, and put they’re reputations at risk.

This product whlie it does fit exactly to the phone, it just won’t stay put. I,ve applied the invisishield to all my kids iphone 3g’s and mine and was very pleased with them. They took a beating before they showed any signs of wear. Not with this iphone 4 shield. I applied the full body protection to both my iphone 4 and my son’s. They went on easy, no bubbles, the problem is the adhesive is obviously not string enough or never dries. Whatever the reason, they silde off with the slightest movement. Forget about putting the phone in your pocket or a case, because the shield will peel right off.

Now for the sad part. It seems Zagg is following in Apples foot steps claiming there is no problem with the shield, and blame it on applying error. That is just BS. Sure they’ll replace it for free, but you have to pay for the shipping, packaging, gas and time to take it to the shipper, etc. In other words, they know they’re getting very few back. The cost to produce these has to be next to nothing when you poduce in the volume they do. They can easily send you a replacement free without any of the above hassles.

While they did respond to my e-mail, because like another reviewer said, you won’t get them on the phone, they agreed to a ONE TIME REPLACEMENT!, providing I followed the above procedure. That’s mighty nice of them isn’t it.

I got news for them, with they’re CS and lifetime guarantee policy I’ll stick to the silicone case for $5.00. It won’t peel, won’t scratch and will last a lifetime.

Save your money and stay away at from this Zagg product. I would have given them a -5 star review if it were possible.

This was the worst purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. The shield is hard to get into place on the iPhone 4. And in having to place and remove so many times, it got dust particles on the back of the shield that will not come off. And the feel of the shield on the phone is a “tacky”, rubbery, almost sticky texture. I eventually purchased an Incipio dermaSHOT case which comes with a sheild that is great. You can’t tell it’s on the phone.

This cover is not clear, makes phone look worse not better. The edges curl up with any of the add on covers. The other covers fit over this plastic which is tacky and peel off the sides and corners of the Zagg cover. Buyer beware. Took it off after one day.

I’ve been the biggest fan of Zagg until a few weeks ago. The screen protector I got for my iPhone 3G protected my phone well, came well packaged, with good instructions, etc.

The iPhone 4 cover on the other hand is a totally different animal.

I wrote this review based on the maximum protection version, but everything here should apply to this version as well.

    1) the instructions are printed in a 2×2 piece of paper and they are completely generic, probably works with any stick on cover, so essentially no real instructions

    2) came in essentially a paper envelope with the “covers” and a separate plastic bag with the “squeegee” and spray. The plastic bag looked like someone had sealed the sides by using a candle, packaging looked worthy of a $3 product, not a $25 one.

    3) the “maximum protection” just means that you get a few little strips that you can paste around the phone. The strips are not the right size (all were too narrow and a little shorter than needed): probably a result of designing this product before the iPhone 4 was out

    4) “maximum protection” leave still leaves all of the glass edges, the bottom of the phone (completely) and many other parts of the phone unprotected

    5) They got stingy with the spray! really, the stuff is barely enough if you don’t spray for the side strips and not enough at all otherwise. If you get a wrong application and have to re-apply: well you’ll be asking for more spray from Zagg customer support

    6) My attempt to correct an address on my Zagg order ended up with one call to some sort of VOIP driven customer service center which was too busy to handle my call and then a sequence of 5+ different emails asking me to send $2.95 more for shipping (this was a result of my error but the customer support mechanism is terrible).

    7) The $2.95 above to get a new one sent is probably their actual cost to make this looking at the packaging and the presentation: knowing how well Zagg products were previously packaged (with ample spray stuff etc), this is really disappointing.

    8) The spray evaporates in like a second (literally), so getting the things on is pure torture, be prepared to dedicate 30 mins of your life and 100% of your attention and you will still have an imperfect application

So, bottom line, now that I have it on the phone what do I think: well it covers most of the front and back of the phone well so scratches in those areas will probably be protected from, but I still need a cover for the edges since “maximum coverage” did nothing.

Disappointing from a company that I used to be a big fan of.

EDIT: and yes, the strips break at each of the antenna “junctions” on the phone and don’t fully insulate from the hand touching the antenna, therefore NOT a solution to the iPhone 4 antenna issues.
