I purchased this cleaner when it was recommended by a Sears service technician to remove buildup in my washer. I had been using Affresh tablets every month, but they didn’t dissolve all the residue from the rubber area in the front.

This product seems to have worked nearly identically to Affresh tablets. It perhaps removed a little more of the buildup, but no more than simply wiping down the washer with a paper towel. It certainly worked, but for the same cost, I could get three months of Affresh tablets.

I’d suggest this as a yearly cleaner for your washer, using Affresh the rest of the year to keep things really clean.

I think that this product worked. I say “think” only because I’m pretty sure that baking soda could do just as good a job.

Still, after using it, the washer is less stinky.

We use a similar product called “Glisten” for the dishwasher which works well, too.

If your washer smells, try this product. It’s one whole bottle for one treatment.

And/or dump 1/2 cup baking soda in with your clothes.

This stuff really helps keep our front-loader clean and mildew-free. Much more effective than bleach-based products. We use about one container per month to keep the mildew smell out of our washer.
