I rarely review things, but this monitor begged for one. The monitor itself is fine. Not great, but fine. The stand, however, is pathetic. It’s wobbly and has no height adjustment. It sits so low on my desk that I have to send it back. I have no other choice. WTF was SAMSUNG thinking?

I just received my monitor today and was so surprised that it has a fixed stand. That’s correct. It has no adjustment for up, down, tilt, or rotate which I find very weird. This would work fine if you plan on mounting it to a wall, but not on a desk. I’ll search for another stand, maybe Samsung offers that as an option. The unit itself is as nice as what other reviewers have stated, I just didn’t realize this thing can’t move!

Well basically I got the unlucky one. Did a lot of research on reviews on this product before purchasing it – and in the end decided to buy it. Nothing about the actual product really bothered me initially. I’m sure it would have been an awesome monitor if I didn’t have any problems with the actual hardware. The stand was adjustable at least for tilt, contrary to what some people stated. My problem instead is that after about two weeks of having this monitor running, I noticed one day when I opened up a google page that on blank white backgrounds I had speckled patches of multicolored stuck pixels.
At first I thought it was lighting or dust, but I downloaded a pixel diagnostic app and sure enough the whole patch was stuck in one of the color modes or another. After trying to repair the pixels using screen noise and light pressure (typical for lcd screens) I thought that I had eliminated the first patch, only to turn on my screen later in the day to a few rogue pixels all over my screen. If the issue had been isolated to the first set it wouldn’t have been an issue, but I don’t want to have to run a pixel repair for 30 minutes on my screen everyday to deal with all the random ones that are popping up. It’s not so noticeable on darker images and screen sets – but still an issue. Sadly I can’t get this thing replaced, Amazon says out of stock so I’m taking my refund only option. Better luck to everyone else with this product, usually Samsung makes a great one.

Received the monitor in 2 days as promised. Neat clean packaging.
I was ready for some disappointment, due to some reviews, but oh boy – was I impressed. I was beyond stunned. I love the classy look – sleek and well carved. Love the slight red tinge at the bottom though it is very light.
The contrast, colors and screen were amazing out of the box, though some of you might want to tweak it a little bit. The Touch controls are nice, and with a little bit of practice you will get it right. Someone suggested that we will have to change the setting from AV to PC, that is right else the HDMI will not fit the screen. With regards to HDMI – it was perfect picture clarity.
I have read a lot about the stand being wobbly. I disagree – though it might shake just a little bit, its not enough to topple over as suggested by some people. So don’t punch it, and it will stay put.
There is some bleeding around the edges in black screens, but very little – nothing that would bother you. Common this is not a 800$ product.
However, the worst part of my experience was that this piece had 1 dead and 1 stuck pixel. I was disappointed. But having dealt with tons of LCD monitors before, I know its difficult to guarantee zero pixel.
I will wait for a few days, and see if the stuck pixel will go away. If not I will ask for a replacement. I am sure Amazon Customer service will comply.

Great price for a beautiful monitor. The stand has a slight tilt adjustment but that’s about it. I would recommend this to anyone unless their monitor sat higher than eye level.
