Im not biting this time. Sony needs a better handheld and innovative games like the Dsi. Im tired of playing old Playstation games.

Way rather get an iPod touch or something else. The games are fine, and the best of portable devices, but everything else is low quality. They might as well just make it with games and not any other media.

I researched all about this system before purcaseing it, and after I purchased itI noticed that it has hardly any memory. So far the best option for me is to buy the 8GB memory card from amazon. How ever for someone that is going to buy a PSP 3000 the best option would be to buy the Ratchet and Clank value pack, the games and movies are bad but you can sell them at gamestop and pick out a game that you want, beasides the value pack comes with some stuff that is normally pretty expesive.

I bought a factory refurbished PSP-3000 from the Sony store when I was traveling. I did not buy it from Amazon.com. The sales clerk said it had a 90 day factory mail in warranty. It worked ok for a few weeks. I went online and downloaded the latest updates from the Sony webpage. The latest updates were version 6.20. Big mistake! A few days later, I started having problems. It wouldn’t turn on. The power light would come on, but there was no video or no audio. I called the 800 number in the manual and spoke to the customer service rep. She informed me that Sony factory refurbished products ARE NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY. Sony support is just horrible! I went online to look for a possible fix. There were hundreds of other PSP users who had the exact same problem. I tried every possible solution. I still have the green power light with no audio or video. Since I bought it when I was traveling, I can’t take it back to the same store where I bought it. Now I have a ‘brick’ as the other online users call it. I will never buy another Sony factory refurbished product again. Warning – if you have a Sony PSP do not download the latest updates from the Sony website!
