I firmly agree with the others who said these are just not as wide as labeled, and they can save the “hiking boots have to be snug” marketing CYA BS. I’m 54 years old, have had the “duck” feet all my adult life and love all the other New Balance shoes I’ve ever owned – EXCEPT for these (had to return them). Maybe there’s an interesting story they don’t want to share about faulty measurement conversions at the factory or something, but it’s a real shame they can’t make a really great hiking boot, which these appear to be, in a true 4E width (5E would be even better, but….)

These boots were amazing boots. They fit me perfectly almost directly out of the box, and they weren’t too heavy like the boots that I used to wear. Anyways, about 6 months after I had them, you can see the sole is becoming detached from the shoe. It was incredibly dissapointing because they were such awsome boots. Now they can’t go in water past the height of the sole because my feet get soaked.

I’ve bought New Balance walking shoes in the past, and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. When I saw New Balance made a winter boot Outdoor shoe, and it had great styling, I didn’t waste any time ordering. They are as good as Columbia and some of the more pricier brands, and with the Gore-Tex lining, it was an excellent deal. Great shoes!

I really like these boots. They are very waterproof nice treads are perfect if you have weak ankles great for backpacking and hiking they are a little bit narrow I have very wide feet and was just able to fit into them with the quadruple wide size but overall I use these boots to replace my old Dunham boots and they’re great
