    This cam works as a charm , I have a Dell WinXP sp2 machine and after reading some bad reviews about the software , was skeptical, but installation was not much of a hassle. While installing the CD it did automatically downloads a bunch of unnecessary crap that slowed my computer down considerably every time I booted up my computer, so need to remove those programs from loading on boot-up, otherwise it works fine as advertised .

    finally: Good Price for basic and good webcam.

    If you are running Windows 2000, Microsoft no longer supports it and they didn’t make a driver for this product for this OS. I wish that I could tell you how it performs but I’m our of luck.

    This webcam is terrible. it only works half the time. It does NOT work for oovoo application which most teens use. it only works for half the people. it does not work to videochat with people who have macs.

    This little gizmo is supposed to help us communicate via the web with grandparents, et al. And I suppose it does. But not very well. Unfortunately one must look into the camera and not at the screen when using it. If the user looks at the screen (to see and communicate with a friend/family) the friend/family on the other end will in turn see the user’s face with downcast eyelids. Bummer.

    I’ve tried adjusting the camera, but the grip doesn’t work well on my laptop. Instead of talking to the screen, I have to talk to the camera, which is a bit odd.

    Hopefully others have not experienced this problem.

    This would probably be a great cam if the software would actually detect the damn cam. I don’t know what Microsoft is doing putting out crap code like this. Just another reason why I didn’t bother upgrading to Vista.
