    I ordered a paperback book as specified in the Amazon Ad: Microsoft Flight Simulator X For Pilots Real World Training (Paperback), and received:

    1.A box of Flight Simulator X DVDs.

    2. A box holding Flight Simulator 2002.

    I would’ve returned it but the effort is not worth the trouble.

    I will not order again from this supplier.

    I’m sure this would help more advanced pilots especially for instrument. Maybe I should have noticed this was the book and not the actual sim program. That’ll teach me for rushing a purchase.

    good information but was unable to download the tutorial flights into Flight Simulator X thus greatly limiting the advantages of this book. Jef Van West infored there are technical problems with some systems but I think the poroblem is more general than that.

    Hi,

    After reading all the glowing reviews on this book I happily bought it for my son along with the Saitek yoke, throttle and Flight Sim X software.

    Well, the program loaded and runs well on my sons pretty darned high end computer. BUT when I got to the book, pg 33, where he was actually going to start learning (via the book), we went to Free Flight then Load as instructed, but there was nothing to load. No Chapter 02 First Flight or anything else. Nothing there to load at all.

    So, I’m stuck. If anyone can help me, I’d greatly appreciate it.

    will change my rating if i can get it going,

    computer is running Vista 64 bit, quad core, if that matters

    This is a well written book on flight instruction and general flight operation. It is not a book written about how to use flight sim x. The book references a web site to down load videos and instruction. I was unable to access the site. I thought the reference guide was on how set up the flight sim.
