I actually liked the main characters’ friends better than the main characters
I liked how it ended, but seemed to get a bit depressing – although somewhat realistic. I read books to feel good and escape from the humdrum of every day. I don’t want to read about it. That said, the story was short enough that I actually managed to finish it, eventually, and was happy with the ending.
One thing I didn’t like is how the children are referred to as “it” or just “baby”.
