This is not the same Charger that is $45. No batteries included and lower quality
BC900 comes with 4 AA and 4 AAA batteries, a case and 4C and 4D converter holders… plus the BC900 is a better charger. In my opinion the best battey charger ever made. This is a weak imitation

I bought this product though it is an older version. But it works pretty good.I havent gotten to understand its advanced features. But I will.I think it gives you total control over getting rid of memory in the batteries and then recharging them.IT CAME ON TIME AND IT WORKS

I will start out by saying this charger is amazing..not difficult to learn the advanced features and DOESN’T overcharge..lol..(WHO IS GETTING PAID TO SPREAD THIS RUMOUR?)
First: the adapter is 2.8a made by Ktec. La Crosse uses Ktec with alot of their product. Like the weather station I have which has been running strong for 4 yrs. I think Ktec and La Crosse know what they need and so far i havent had any problems..By the way 7(700Mah) x 4(4 slots) = 28. I never charge over 500 and usually use 200..I love this charger!!!
Second: To the guy who keeps posting that this charger will over charge..complete with his detailed analysis and mathematical equations which seem more to confuse his point(is this intentional) than anything else. So you’re left with a very passionate?? guy who wants to save us from a dumb charger.
I need to ask the question why you care so much?..I’ve done less analysis for projects at work. my 700 has never overcharged..nor do I think it ever will..I have charged and recharged with it, counting individual batteries, 100s of times..ALL STILL HOLD THEIR RATED CHARGE..THE SAME AS WHEN I FIRST PUT THEM IN THIS..
THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME..DON’T LISTEN TO THE GUY..OR IS IT REALLY 2 GUYS(I ASK BECAUSE YOU THESE TWO REVIEWERS SAY THE SAME THING..EXACTLY) WHO MIGHT HAVE WRITTEN THEIR THESIS FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL ON THE HORRORS OF THE BC-700.
Make me wonder if this is his “job.” ARE YOU BEING PAID FOR YOU ANALYSIS OF THIS CHARGER OR ARE YOU JUST A MORON WHO SPENT A LOT OF WORK TO WRITE A REVIEW OF A CHARGER THAT ONLY AN ENGINEER WOULD UNDERSTAND. THEN MAKE YOU CONCLUSION WITH SUCH PASSION AS TO CREATE DOUBT
I’ll say it again..This charger is amazing and for the price it’s just a no brainer..I have no stake in La Crosse..although I love my weather station from them and saved about $200 from their competitors product. The accuracy of the barometer is what convinced me La Crosse wasn’t a hack company.
It’s never over charged my batters..I know…the “guy” will say to me-How do truly know?…lol…I’m done. It’s a really nice charger..Compact yet powerful(in terms of features). Great for travel..great for my home..I have two..and just finally had to say something.

while the shipping was much faster than expected the item does not fit AA size when it was expressly written it did so in the ad.
am unsure if it is a product probelm with assembly or shipping problem or just what.

First off, on mine, all the buttons and metal battery tabs
looked fine, and it takes AA and AAA batteries with no problem,
you just have to put them in right.
But when I tried to use the “Current” button to set how fast it changed,
at first it didn’t seem to do anything, but later, I was able to get it
to cycle through choices of “100″, “250″ and “350″. The directions say
it should have said “200″, “500″ and “700″.
So fortunately Amazon let me return it, with no shipping
changes. I’ll try to order another one later, and hope that
it’ll work right.
The instructions need a LOT of work, hard to understand.
It’ll easily take you
several times of trying to read them to figure out how the buttons
work, putting batteries in and trying it, then going back to the
instructions again, but eventually you’ll figure it out.
It seems to do an excellent job though. I put in four AAA on
“Refresh” mode, and it took about a Day and a half for all
four to finish.
UPDATE:
I ordered another one.. and the same thing happens, you get half the values they say you should see, when you try to use the Current
button.
But, other than that, it seems to “work” fine, so I’m not going to return it. I put a AAA in on Discharge, and it was done it no time.
