IT IS DIFFICULT TO RATE THE BOAT AS WE WERE ON THE WATER ALL OF 20 MINUTES BEFORE TO THE OAR LOCK RING SNAPPED OFF! (SMALL LAKE, CALM WATER, ONE ADULT,ONE CHILD) THIS MADE NAVIGATING BACK TO THE DOCK PROBLEMATIC. LOOKING AT THE DESIGN ITS SURPRIZING IT LASTED THAT LONG!

We also own a Seahawk I. We have had it for at least 7 years and it is still going with very few hole repairs. The oars finally broke and we had to buy a new set last year. For years I’ve felt we were out growing it so I bought the Seahawk II. It arrived today and I inflatted it immediately. I am so impressed with it. I love the new seat cushions. I can tell it will be a more comfortable ride down the truckee river. I will update my review in a couple weeks when we make it down the river in both boats.

A very nice boat for the money. I have had mine out several times now on a large lake and small river. The boat handles great. Even in choppy water with large boat wakes, this boat is stable and secure. I have a 1.2hp outboard motor hooked up to this via a motor mount. It pushes the boat around 3-4 mph which is fine for leisurely cruising. The boat is comfortable with two adults and gear on board.

The accessories are cheaply made (the supplied pump and oars) but I am happy to have them. I would highly recommend a Coleman rechargeable pump. This thing inflates the boat in under 5 minutes. It also completely deflates the boat which makes rolling it up easy. You will also need a large duffle bag to store this boat in. The supplied bag won’t cut it when you try to stuff it back in this first time. It is great for carrying accessories.

All in all, for the money I don’t think you can beat this boat for value. I would highly recommend it

I received the boat on 04/02/2010 in Florida, which requires a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin with original signature – not an Internet copy.

I have called Intex innumerable times to ask if they would send the type of MCO I need. After 1.5 months, I have received NOTHING and obviously haven’t been able to use the boat. Beyond frustrating.

I bought the Seahawk II about 3 months ago. We have used it quite a few times on the weekends and liked it very much.

    – Like mentioned in other reviews, the boat is actually very sturdy when fully inflated.

    – Remember to bring the 2 seats. It actually saves the leg rooms and make it feel more spacious.

    – The oars came with it worked fine for our use.

    – The two fishing rod holders were pretty handy.

    – I used it primarily in lakes. It sustained the scratches with trees and rocks pretty well so far. Haven’t tested it in any really hazardous situations though.

    – It is a bit hard to row in the wind. But after getting use to it, I was able to improve the efficiency of my labor quite a bit.

    – The inflation is pretty fast. ~100-120 pumps each for the two hull chambers, much fewer for the bottom one. The hull chambers with boston valves deflates almost instantly. The bottom chamber is kind of slow to deflate completely. After deflation, it can not be put back in the original back. But still, you can fold and store it pretty easily.
