This morning I got the the free Kindle book reader app for iPhone and searched Amazon for any texts or public-domain items marked as “free.” My search returned a Kindle book titled “Free Books For Kindle” for $2.85.

    Arrgh.

I deleted Kindle from my iPhone and downloaded the free “BookShelf LT” app which offers access to actually free books.

This book was not really helpfull and overpriced in my opinion. i would considerably have enjoyed the purchase if the price was worth the content. I mostly knew all the websites and was hoping for something more. However some of the books suggested suxh as ilmk were woth the price.

This book seems like it should be really helpful – but I have followed all directions and I still can’t get anything onto my Kindle2. I have the Mobipocket reader installed on the PC and there are several books in there now – but when I tell it to send to my Kindle2, it seems like it’s doing something but nothing appears on my Kindle2.

I’m not sure where I went wrong….is there anyone who might be willing to help me feel a little less dumb?!?!?

I always thought I was somewhat average with my computer savvy, but this book has me so confused. After getting on the recommended URLs on my new Kindle 2 I can not get any of these free books to download. I am so anxious, and probably need more time to figure it out, but in the mean time, just know this is not an easy fix for your Kindle 2- it still takes a lot more techno smarts than you might think.

I would love to be guided to where I can get more help using this book I just purchased.

This book had loads of free sites to try but the main reason I found it so useful was the critique of each site and the ease/problems associated with its use. the notes at the end about why books are free was very informative.
