I bought this cable because I loved the coiled design. It reduces clutter and is the perfect length.

That being said, to me its worthless. It says it is iPhone compatible. I have the original iphone, which has a recessed headphone jack. I don’t have a bulky case (incase slider), but the cable doesn’t fit when the iphone is in its case. I want to keep my phone protected – I don’t want to have to take it out of the case every time I get in the car. Griffin should have foreseen this potential problem. It would have been easy to design accordingly. If I want to use this product, I have to buy an adapter for a cable that supposed to be compatible already!

I bought this cable from Best Buy so I could switch from listening to my old XM SkyFi2 via FM to aux. I chose this one because I loved the coiled form factor which I thought would dramatically reduce clutter in my car compared to the unnecessarily long 6-foot aux cables I already owned.

However, the sound quality was miserable! It wasn’t as noticeable when music was playing, but when listening to talk radio or baseball there was more static than via FM! I tried some of my old cheap 6-foot aux cables to make sure it wasn’t the fault of the jacks, but it sounded fine.

I’ve owned Griffin products in the past and thought they were great, but this one is headed back…

Bought for Motorola Droid because company’s website stated it was compatible for this phone. I’ve had problems since day 1 of sound playing, then cutting out (as if plug came out of phone, but it doesn’t). I have to twist and push on the end plugged into phone to get it to produce sound through car speakers again, only to experience same issue a few minutes later. Too much of a headache and will search for a replacement. My son’s ITouch works fine with it though. Don’t recommend getting for anything but IPod devices.

It’s the right size, it’s pretty sturdy and the sound quality seems just fine. Unfortunately the huge cylinder at the connections doesn’t play well with devices that have other outputs next to the audio jack.

I like to stream last.fm from my G1 in my car but I had to get a different connector since the usb cable wouldn’t fit next to this monster. It’s not the end of the world but I don’t see any reason for the size… would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Works great for the car when I used to be untangling cell phone and gps chargers from my audio cable. This one has the coils just like your chargers and eliminates the mess.
